As a kid I grew to define what I didn't want my life to be like by sitting behind moaning women on the bus hearing them bang on about their aches and pains both real and imagined.

In Hollywood the women are all peaches. It makes one long for an apple occasionally.

Wisdom does not show itself so much in precept as in life - in firmness of mind and a mastery of appetite. It teaches us to do as well as to talk and to make our words and actions all of a color.

We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be we shall fight on the beaches we shall fight on the landing grounds we shall fight in the fields and in the streets we shall fight in the hills we shall never surrender.

Pain reaches the heart with electrical speed but truth moves to the heart as slowly as a glacier.

Man approaches the unattainable truth through a succession of errors.

As a former football player who has carried a football more than 4 000 times trust me I did not go into ballroom dancing with my body being 100 percent with no aches or pains or ailments coming with me. When you're dancing you're doing stuff that your body's not used to and so you start to aggravate those old injuries.

Jesus teaches us to forgive and I've got to trust him on that one.

All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all I have not seen.

Travel teaches as much as books.

Travel teaches toleration.

But time growing old teaches all things.

I don't know concretely if it's due to superstition but any time a new rule is implemented into the NBA or a new piece of equipment or a new technology there is always a transition and adjustment period by players and coaches and anyone involved with the game.

Today the technology is there to give early and normally ample warning when a powerful tornado approaches. When a tornado strikes all of us are at risk.

Our government is the potent the omnipresent teacher. For good or ill it teaches the whole people by its example.

I'm the son of an everyman. My father is a teacher. He teaches physics at a boys' school in Sydney.

In other words if a teacher only teaches in one way then they conclude that the kids who can't learn well that way don't have the ability when in fact it may be that the way the teacher's teaching is not a particularly good match to the way those kids learn.

Success is the person who year after year reaches the highest limits in his field.

I get curious about new things. My real strength is going into a field that has not been investigated before and finding new approaches to it.

I want to thank all my fans teammates coaches and supporters for the strength they've given me to overcome so much.

We coaches have to learn how to deal with that: How do I get to each one best - with a talk with video analysis? And what sort of tone? We need our own coaches for that. The sports psychologist coaches me too.

I believe God created sports for a good reason. It's recreation. It's something that we enjoy. It teaches us a lot as well... I believe God is a sports fan.

I think sometimes when it comes to sports and especially relationships between players and coaches that people lose track lose a sense of reality.

Sports teaches you character it teaches you to play by the rules it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life.
