All I can hope to do is instill great morality in my son and trust him along the way. The music he listens to or how he chooses to wear his hair doesn't define his moral compass and if he wants to listen to country music and wear a cowboy hat too that's fine.
It doesn't make any sense... that's why I trust it!
You can't trust politicians. It doesn't matter who makes a political speech. It's all lies - and it applies to any rock star who wants to make a political speech as well.
The only kind of seafood I trust is the fish stick a totally featureless fish that doesn't have eyeballs or fins.
Will some reporter or some Republican on the Sunday shows please ask why tax cuts raid the non-existent Social Security Trust Fund but all the Democrats' new spending doesn't? Will someone please ask that?
A lot of people say that comedy doesn't travel well. I found it very accessible.
As a person I was born to give out my opinions. By giving out my opinions I realize who I am. As long as I can communicate I'm not so lonely. If I cannot travel or do art or have company if they take away all my belongings it doesn't matter at all.
Dealing with global warming doesn't mean we have all got to suddenly stop breathing. Dealing with global warming means that we have to stop waste and if you travel for no reason whatsoever that is a waste.
When I write stuff and I help cast it I turn away good people all the time. I may turn them down because this one's too tall and that one doesn't have a high enough voice or this one looks to old to match up with that one - there's a billion reasons not to hire somebody.
Saying goodbye doesn't mean anything. It's the time we spent together that matters not how we left it.
I like Mitt Romney as a person. I think he's a dignified person. But I have no common ground on economics. He doesn't worry about the Federal Reserve. He doesn't worry about foreign policy. He doesn't talk about civil liberties so I would have a hard time to expect him to ever invite me to campaign with him.
The time to save is now. When a dog gets a bone he doesn't go out and make a down payment on a bigger bone. He buries the one he's got.
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.
Just because you have teenagers in a movie doesn't make it a teen movie.
Doesn't matter whether it's a teen girl who's pregnant hasn't told her parents or an elderly couple dealing with one of them being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Those are real people to me. Those are the people I dealt with every single day.
Visual ideas combined with technology combined with personal interpretation equals photography. Each must hold it's own if it doesn't the thing collapses.
The cancer doesn't bother me. I have great faith that the technology will beat it.
I think 99 percent of women's lib comes from technology making different kinds of lives possible and then the social adjustment follows the technology - it doesn't precede it.
The world changes materially. Science makes advances in technology and understanding. But the world of humanity doesn't change.
I have never come across a technology that doesn't change. This is inevitable. You have to adapt your systems as technology develops.
Technology determines the possibilities of society. It doesn't matter whether you start out from a fascist state or a communist state or a free-market state.
Indiana Jones is very much an old-world kind of hero. He doesn't really have any kind of superpower or rely on any kind of technology to help him out of things.
Technology is us. There is no separation. It's a pure expression of human creative will. It doesn't exist anywhere else in the universe. I'm rather sure of that.
We need to make sure that there's art in the school. Why? Why should art be in the school? Because if art isn't in a school then a guy like Steve Jobs doesn't get a chance to really express himself because in order for art to meet technology you need art.
