Art is an invention of aesthetics which in turn is an invention of philosophers... What we call art is a game.
We are not to give credit to the many who say that none ought to be educated but the free but rather to the philosophers who say that the well-educated alone are free.
For if there is a sin against life it consists perhaps not so much in despairing of life as in hoping for another life and in eluding the implacable grandeur of this life.
