I've always had a special relationship with the U.K. fans because even when I wasn't working they were very supportive.
My mom used to take me down to the Jersey Shore when I was 7 8 9 years old....
I feel an intense intimacy with those who have this loathing interest in me....
And of course Marc Cherry heightens it and makes it hilarious. But there's so many universal themes in the show and he made it so funny. We knew he was onto something if he could keep it up and thankfully he did.
