I grew up very religious and I don't have a great relationship with religion.
I've always been at war with myself for right or wrong.
I feel an intense intimacy with those who have this loathing interest in me....
I'm sure there are people who survive tragedy without humor but I've never met any of them. Nor would I be particularly interested in writing about them if I did meet them.
