I gave up on new poetry myself 30 years ago when most of it began to read like coded messages passing between lonely aliens in a hostile world.
Americans like fat books and thin women.
I write poetry in order to live more fully.
I love working with kids talking with them and listening to them. I always encourage kids to reach beyond their dreams. Don't try to be like me. Be better than me.
